Welcome to Sound Waves South West web site

Sound Waves South West (SWSW) is an independent charity registered in 2000.  Its activities extend across North and East Cornwall and North West Devon.  The charity provides:

1.     Music Therapy for children delivered by State Registered Music Therapists in the SWSW catchment area

2.     A free Instrument Loan Scheme (ILS) to school children having music lessons within the SWSW catchment area

3.     An annual Award to a music student who has shown exceptional improvement under difficult circumstances

4.     Annual music Workshops for Schools conducted by professional musicians to enable children to experience a wide variety of culturally diverse music

We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to Duncan Honeybourne as our new Patron.

Congratulations to Rachel Pankhurst, this year's winner of the Maggie Perryman Award. (Pictured below)

Our thanks to Bude Music Society who kindly donated £100 to SWSW from their raffle at the Duncan Honeybourne piano recital and talk on autism on 11th May.

The fantastic sum of £1,200 was raised for SWSW at the Bude Motor Club Event on 18th May – thank you to all involved.

  • SWSW Award Ceremony
