Welcome to Sound Waves South West web site
Sound Waves South West (SWSW) is an independent charity registered in 2000. Its activities extend across North and East Cornwall and North West Devon. The charity provides:
1. Music Therapy for children delivered by State Registered Music Therapists in the SWSW catchment area
2. A free Instrument Loan Scheme (ILS) to school children having music lessons within the SWSW catchment area
3. An annual Award to a music student who has shown exceptional improvement under difficult circumstances
4. Annual music and/or dance Workshops for Schools with professional musicians enabling children to experience culturally diverse music
Please note that the 2015 SWSW ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING will be held on Tuesday 14th April at 2.00 pm at The Falcon Hotel, Bude. Everyone is welcome to come to the meeting, but only Trustees may vote.

The deadline for this year's applications is 8th June 2015, and the winner will be announced on 13th July. The first Award winner in 2012, Becky Bailey, is pictured below receiving her £100 cheque.
Our Annual Christmas Coffee Morning held at the Old Vicarage, Morwenstow on Thursday 18th December raised £710 for Sound Waves South West. Very many thanks to everyone who contributed and especially to our hosts Jill and Richard Wellby. Joy and Malcolm Topham, who have organised the choir for the event for the past 14 years are now moving out of the area and were thanked for all their help over the years.
